Today marks a momentous occasion. The energy is palpable after speaking at the Voice of Women summit, a gathering that drew over a thousand (1000) attendees and featured 200 women voices, including mine. As International Women’s Day draws close, I’m left with a sense of embarking on something momentous.
This morning's talk and candid conversation with Jennifer Riggins, a tech journalist and a beacon for women in the industry, inspired me to write this piece titled "Future-Proof Your Business: Adapting Strategically to Thrive in Turbulent Times."
Imagine you’re at the helm of a ship navigating tumultuous seas, searching for uncharted yet tranquil waters. This is akin to the journey women in tech face – a journey towards creating and commanding new spaces, our 'blue oceans. We look beyond the obvious to find hidden harbors of opportunity, particularly in areas like SMB digital transformation.
We, women in tech, bring a wealth of unique experiences and insights, our very own arsenal for innovation. This diversity in thought and perspective is our sail, catching the winds of change and propelling us forward.
The tech landscape is ever-shifting, much like the sea. Staying nimble, ready to pivot and adapt, is advantageous and essential for survival.
Our tech role transcends mere participation. We are the vanguard, reshaping the industry with innovative strategies and resilient spirits. We’re not just filling gaps; we're carving out new paths.
It’s time we shift from reacting to change to being its architects. As Jennifer Riggins noted, the tech industry thrives with diversity at its helm. Today’s challenges are the gateways to tomorrow’s triumphs.
I invite you to join me on this journey. Let’s not just envision a tech world marked by inclusivity and innovation; let’s actively build it. Let’s not merely survive in these turbulent times; let's harness them to our advantage. Together, we can create a tech industry that’s resilient but also vibrant and inclusive.
Our conversations today, especially those like my exchange with Jennifer, are more than mere dialogues; they are the seeds of change. As we forge ahead, it's evident that women in tech are not bystanders but pioneers and leaders, unlocking new potential and shaping a more equitable and dynamic future.
Let’s not be content with riding the waves of change; let's be the ones who create them.
Thank you, Jennifer Riggins, for your precious time and candid sharing.
Happy Friday to you! Be on the lookout for the podcast. Please Share your thoughts.
